How Faith Helped Me Build a Business With No Funding

I didn’t start Compassionate Care U with a grant.

Or a team.

Or a business degree.

I started with a word — and a vision that was way too big for what I had in my hands.

🔹 When the Math Doesn’t Math

If I would’ve waited for all the numbers to line up before I moved, CCU wouldn’t exist. There were seasons I was building a brand, creating curriculum, and praying my way through every invoice.

But God doesn’t need it to make sense to make it move. And when you’re walking in purpose, you learn that faith is the budget — and obedience is the currency.

🔹 I Built in the Middle of the Wait

While I Wait isn’t just a book I wrote — it’s a life I lived.

I wrote it while building CCU. I lived it when contracts fell through and I was still creating the classroom. I felt it when people clapped for the wins, but didn’t see the days I had to fund it all myself.

Still… I kept building. Not because I had it all — but because I believed God did.

🔹 This Isn’t a Side Hustle. It’s a Calling.

Every journal. Every class. Every training. Every retreat. It all came from the same place: a vision I couldn’t shake, even when it didn’t look like it would work.

Some days I prayed for strategy. Other days, I prayed not to quit.

But every step reminded me: faith isn’t just for Sunday. It’s for the spreadsheet. It’s for the pitch. The email. The delay. The contract. The calling.
