Compassionate Care U (CCU) is a training and enrichment platform dedicated to equipping caregivers, Direct Support Workers, and youth with the confidence, compassion, and skills they need to thrive. Founded by Somalia Swing — a caregiver, educator, and visionary leader — CCU was built on the belief that true care begins with how we prepare and support the people doing the work

Through our 15-module DSW certification program, continuing education courses, caregiver wellness membership, and CCU Academy enrichment kits for early learners, we serve individuals, agencies, and communities across Louisiana, Texas, Massachusetts, and beyond. Our programs combine real-world knowledge with emotional support, creating a space where people feel empowered, not overwhelmed.

Founder’s Message

Hi, I’m Somalia Swing, and before I became the founder of CCU, I was a caregiver.

For over 10 years, I cared for others while learning everything the hard way — without support, without clarity, and often without the tools I needed. Compassionate Care U was born from that experience. I created it to make sure no caregiver or frontline worker ever has to figure it all out alone. At CCU, we don’t just train people.
